Inspiration
I wanted to learn more about how machine learning works and how it could be used in real world applications
What it does
It takes realtime data of the stock price, and every few minutes, it queries for news on the stock market to determine if it believes the stock will go up or down, and buys or sells stocks accordingly.
How I built it
I built it using python, as I knew that there was many machine learning libraries for the language. I used the Alpaca stock trading api and sdk to faciliate stock buying/selling, as well as seeing the real-time price of stocks. I also used NewsMesh api to query for news for a related company.
Challenges I ran into
Api query limits and learning how machine learning works was quite tough

Im proud of how I designed how the bot gets its news and stock data
What I learned
I mostly learned how to better use APIs and how to effectively use machine learning. I do want to come back to the machine learning algorithm as I had to ask AI alot to help with it, so i don't fully understand all the things(such as tensors)
What's next for Stock-trading-experiment
Better Algorithm usage, better search functionality(not using NewsMesh but instead my own way to look up data
