From Frustration to Inspiration:

"Like many others, my spouse dreads the annual stock taking at his work. It's a long, tedious process – hours spent counting inventory, manual data entry, and the constant worry of errors leading to frustrating re-counts.

Witnessing his struggle firsthand sparked an idea. There had to be a better way!"

Small businesses with limited stock can easily monitor inventory on the go. Simply point your phone's camera at shelves or product displays. The app intelligently identifies and counts individual items through image recognition, saving countless hours and eliminating the potential for human error.

How we built it

I built this app on Google Cloud with Google AI Studio using Gemini 1.5 Pro. To improve my efficiency for my workflow I used Gemini AI for editing scripts for my videos. For test sample of images I used my phone and Google Drive to upload images for the project.

Challenges we ran into

Learning how to navigate the Google AI studio. Initially the 'generate code' was inactive so I struggled with coding but finally it was activated and am happy I was able submit fast.

That I was able to prototype an on a solution that can streamline the stock taking process for businesses of all sizes and in conservation, wild animals, trees counting etc
