Inspiration
Interest in learning/starting to invest in the stock market and wanting to build a real-world project.
What it does
Accepts a file with the stock name and prints the dataset for the stock over a 1 yr period. We created a predictor algorithm to allow it to determine if the stock would be viable.
How we built it
We built it using python and included the yahoo finance API
Challenges we ran into
We had challenges in creating an advanced algorithm that could accurately determine the stock while also having issues learning how to navigate the API.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting a project that implements the API and has a stock predictor algorithm working
What we learned
We learned how to use and implement the yahoo finance API and learned how to incorporate API's in python
What's next for Stock Predictor
We hope to connect to a front end and provide more UI/UX interfaces.
