## Inspiration Many young adults who are entering the workforce want to invest in the stock market but have little understanding of how that world works. The Stock Market Simulator aims to introduce the basics of the stock market in a risk-free environment in which everyone can explore and gain experience with profits and gains. ## What it does The Stock Market Simulator simulates financial decision-making and management. Players start with a certain amount of virtual money and make decisions to grow their wealth over time. Their profits or losses depend on the change in the market and the companies they invest in. They are given a goal related to the duration they selected and the results of the game depend on whether the goal was met or not. ## How we built it We built using the Visual Studio Code application in Python. ## Challenges we ran into A challenge we ran into was implementing the AlphaVantage API to get stock market data and display it in graph form on our game page. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of Accomplishments that we are proud of include properly integrating the API, creating a web face for the game, and how the game mimics real-life situations. ## What we learned Through the making of this game, we learned about the dynamic user interface, and API integration, and enhanced our skills in Python and web development. We also learned about new libraries and APIs and the purposes they serve. ## What's Next for Stock Market Simulator The game can be introduced to those who are interested in investing the money they earn and don't know how to start. In the future, the game can be improved to include more options and challenges, such as personal income and expenses that can influence financial decisions.
