Inspiration

I am a Data Science and Machine Learning enthusiast, I love working with large dataset analyzing it and build a complete end to end product which helps in taking useful insights.

What it does

It is a data science dashboard through which we can analyze the current and the historical stock market trends of any assets by selecting it from dropdown. We can even compare the trends of two or more assets and get the useful insights from it.

How we built it

It is Data Science model built with collecting data from yahoo finance using the python library yfinance. Collected data is analyzed and processed with numpy, pandas and fbprophet library from python. And matplotlib library is used for visualization purpose. After the analysis, model is converted to web application with the help of streamlit library from python.

Challenges we ran into

We can get useful insights of stock market trends of the particular assets, and we can compare the stock market data of two or more assets and get a clear visualization in terms of graph.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Successfully completed this analysis with a real time data and build an end to end model. Got to learn about the trending technology and working in real world. Completed this project before the deadline.

What we learned

Learned about the data science technology theoretically as well as in practical manner, made use of new tools and the libraries which I wasn't aware about earlier. Read and learned about the complete working and applications of the new libraries and frameworks and build a successful end to end project with these. Through this project I got in depth understanding about the data science and machine learning life cycle for building an end to end model and working with real time data, how to process raw data and how to transform that data into a useful insights.

What's next for Stock Market Analysis Dashboard

For now, I have just added limited number of assets in the dropdown list, we can modify that list further and this project gives a dashboard for analysis and visualization purpose but if we modify this project further, we can predict the future stock prices as well using machine learning technology by training that data and applying the machine learning algorithm on it.
