Stock Displayer

Track the prices of stocks by typing them into the text box. Can store multiple stocks, and display in red or green, based on their current price.

Inspiration

I wanted to create something stock-related for the financial hack. Originally I was going to create a dividend tracker tool, but the API I was using kept dividend info behind a paywall.

What it does

Type the stock symbol into the text box. It will display the current price, and in red or green, depending on the price for the day. You can enter in as many symbols as you want, and the website keeps a list.

How we built it

Using codesandbox.io, built in React and JS.

What we learned

Using a new API, sharpening skills in creating webpages.

What's next for Stock Displayer

Adding a refresh button and cleaning up the look, since most of my time was spent on its design rather than the look.
