Inspiration
Delays and incidents in the STM are prominent in Montreal, therefore we wanted to create a report/visualization that would inform users on average wait times and causes of delay per metro station.
What it does
The tool lets users select a metro station and see how long it takes on average for an incident to be resolved. Statistics on Incident Symptoms, secondary causes and hourly start time were used to measure this.
How we built it
This was built using python pandas, and Shape files for GIS to map out the metro map.
Challenges we ran into
Finding an appropriate skeleton of the metro map.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
pushing through till the end, getting some interesting statistics and getting a map that resembles the stm metro route.
