Inspiration
What it does
Inspiration Lawyers spend too much time turning scattered client messages and PDF documents into a clear case timeline. I wanted one small tool that does the intake, the extraction, and the timeline in one place.
What it does StitchCase takes basic case info and uploaded documents, extracts key dates and parties, builds a visual case timeline, and drafts a first case summary for the lawyer to review.
How we built it Built entirely with Kiro, stitching together multiple technologies: a Next.js web frontend, PostgreSQL for case data, PDF document parsing, calendar reminders, and Claude via Kiro for drafting summaries.
Challenges we ran into The hardest part was making different pieces agree on the same dates and parties: documents use different formats, so extraction had to be checked against the timeline instead of trusted blindly. Keeping the summary as a draft for human review, not a final decision, was also a deliberate choice.
What we learned Spec-driven development in Kiro helped a lot: writing requirements and design first made it much easier to stitch web, database, document processing, and AI into one working app without losing track of the overall plan.
