I was walking through the streets of my city when I suddenly stopped. Across the road, there was a half-demolished building—like it had been sliced in two with a knife. And yet, one floor (just one) remained intact: the wooden dining table, an old TV sitting on a cabinet, a painting, two armchairs… I stood there staring, mesmerized. All the other floors had collapsed, but this one, somehow, had endured. I gazed at it, spellbound. A ceramic bowl and an embroidered cloth on the table… and those two armchairs. I couldn’t help but take a photo. And from that image came this piece—an ode to the strength that love gives us.

What survives when everything collapses? Stillness in the Dust is a poetic short film about resilience, love, and the quiet strength of growing old together—even as the world crumbles around you. This video (song included) reminds us that peace can exist in the midst of chaos.
