Inspiration
Stik Tok – to make it stick. In this project, we have emulated the Tik Tok recommendation algorithm, but have used it to help students revise! When you start using the app, Stik Tok will prompt you with a question for you to try. Done? The app will show you the answer key. Got it right? Wonderful! The algorithm will let you try another topic. Got that wrong? The app will point you to some resources to help you revise and brush up on your understanding. Ready to try again? The app will let you try another question from that topic for you to practice, and if you get that wrong too, the app will keep feeding you questions from that topic until it Stiks!
We care about this project because students quite often don’t have access to tuition due to a variety of reasons. We feel that they, like everyone else, should be entitled to focused, personalised attention that targets their weaknesses and helps them achieve their maximum potentials.
