Inspiration
Coordinating the onboarding of new starters is hard work, as is finding out who is responsible for managing which software once organisations hit a certain scale.
I wanted to see if Rovo Agents and some of Jira's core features could help make this less arduous.
What it does
Stewart brings software stewardship and new starter onboarding out of excel files and static pages into powerful, agent-driven work flows.
Create all the Jira work items required to onboard a new starter into your organisation in seconds. Easily find out who the steward is, anywhere you happen to be working in Jira.
How we built it
Stewart for Jira is built entirely on Forge using UI Kit and resolvers for the management interfaces, and Rovo Agent and actions for the agent driven flows.
Challenges we ran into
Agent aren't always obliging with generating valid JSON. Still looking for a solution for this!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting an agent to scaffold a realistic set of stewardship and role data with minimal prompting and have the UI refresh once this was done was a bit of a task!
What we learned
The Forge toolkit around Rovo Agents is super easy to get started with the agents themselves are very powerful. Expect to incorporate these into more products
