Inspiration
In this project, we seek to integrate movement, music and colors(using LED) into one. We imagine that a composer would be given endless possibilities if he/she could compose music and lighting art using movements. In this way, we have greatly maximized the creative capacity of artists and given them a greater opportunity for artistic expression.
What it does
It Syncs music with RGB lights flickering at different frequencies, integrating the music and lighting with hand gestures/ movement enabling multi-staged composition.
How we built it
We used Cylon.js for programming with Leap-Motion and sending hand coordinates to Arduino and used Arduino hardware to build an LED and buzzer circuit. The color/LED flickering frequency and the buzzer tone are controlled by the hand coordinates obtained from the Leap motion.
Challenges we ran into
Communicating with Arduino through cylon.js, Learning how to use Leap motion API and interfacing with cylon.js, Determining hand gesture/coordinates.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We have achieved a simple prototype from our inspiration of revolutionising music/lighting art.

What's next for Stereo Lights
Incorporate entire body gestures possibly with Kinect/ cameras and sync wide variety of music tones/notes and lighting.
