How I built it
I used a template from MLH-Fellowship / portfolio-template. Very useful content for learning how GitHub pages work.
Challenges I ran into
The page was not loading properly. I was very confused and trying to keep up with the stream at the same time. I did not configure the config file properly and set the URL correctly. It was mentioned later in the chat and the host mentioned the solution. I'm proud that I was able to debug and double-check all instructions to fix the problem myself.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I was able to use a template from another repo and alter it to my needs. I ran into the problems where the page was not setup correctly and I was quickly able to fix this issue. I really like the setup of the page and will definitely continue to develop my page.
What I learned
I learnt what GitHub pages is, how useful it is and the importance of a developer to have their own GitHub page.
What's next for stephencovell.github.io
I want to redesign the page. I would love to implement a blog for documenting all the events I attend and a place for all my projects to be posted.
