StemChain is a proof of concept for publishing the new NI stems file metadata into a blockchain from the point of source. When fully integrated into a DAW (digital audio workstation), producers will be able to instantly publish their metadata and files into a blockchain, asserting ownership and rights for the works they have created. This will eventually enable startups and services to instantly access their content, seamlessly providing attribution and payments for all parties connected to a musical work.
