Inspiration
I was looking through STEM competitions I could participate in and I found this website, Devpost, in which this competition is posted on. I wanted to build something similar, a website where you can find competitions not just in coding, but in the vast realm of STEM.
What it does
This is a user-friendly website where you can find STEM-related competitions, programs, courses, resources, and games all in one place. You can visit their website to learn more about each of them.
How I built it
I did my project in Visual Studio Code using html, css, and javascript.
Challenges I ran into
Challenges I ran into include tweaking the website to make it responsive and setting the position of all the objects to how I wanted it.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Accomplishments I'm proud of is creating a working search bar and buttons which made it easier of readers to navigate, and organizing the "cards" in "The Colusseum".
What I'm learned
I learned that finishing a coding project like this is very rewarding, and to always stay calm if you have an error in your code because there is always a way to figure it out.
What's next for STEMGladiators
I hope to give my website a more Romanesque design in the near future.
