Stem Prep

Inspiration

I wanted to make a resume helper that has a social aspect to drive you forward. Taking ideas from rank systems in games like league of legends and brawlhalla, the idea was to have a duolingo like format with questions and leagues that you can climb up and compete in while bettering your skills.

What it does

It has a basic login screen with a solid setup for a fake user with mock data. There is an interview question section and a leaderboard

How we built it

Claude was the main advisor in this endeavor.

Challenges we ran into

Watching Mamma Mia while the code isn't finished. A slow start with organizational issues.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Perservering through the whole thing Watching Mamma Mia at night.

What we learned

How to integrate Claude into coding(first time using claude) How to setup a node.js environment How to use Mongodb as a database.

What's next for Stem Prep

I'm actually looking forward to connecting all the api's properly and seeing what it could really look like. Right now it's just mock data with test stuff so that it's safe but I think the underlying idea could work really well.
