Inspiration
The point of the game is to educate and raise awareness about upcoming scientific technologies that will impact human society, as well as look at their costs and benefits.
What it does
Simulates a what-if scenario demonstrating the consequences of integrating modern technologies into a society. The game is supposed to reflect the ramifications these technologies may have on human society and allow the individual player to explore and learn.
How we built it
We built the game using Unity. The game features a system of simulation layers that interact with each other to simulate the complex dynamism of ecosystems.
Challenges we ran into
Simulating ecosystems are complex. A solid foundation was needed to represent a complex model where everything interact with everything else.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we managed to present a working demonstration of our models which shows the consequences of your actions.
What we learned
We learned that simulations are difficult. You often can't predict what's going to happen and ecosystems can be very sensitive and fragile.
