💡 Inspiration
Get ready to hear about my exciting journey into the world of coding! As a beginner, I started with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in my school's computer science class. While I enjoyed learning all about programming, I found myself particularly drawn to building websites. So, when it came to this project, I knew exactly what I wanted to do - create a responsive website that would really showcase my skills. As a novice, I knew that this would be a real challenge for me, especially with all the cool animations and design elements out there. But I was determined to learn something new and take on this challenge head-on. add to the excitement, the theme for the project was "space" - a topic that has always fascinated me. Space is captivating because there is so much we have yet to uncover, making it mysterious and intriguing. We are continuously discovering new things about the world beyond us, which makes the subject even more fascinating.

Prepare to dive into the fascinating world of astronomy with my incredible website! It's a user-friendly, responsive website that is designed to provide you with an immersive experience. Upon arriving at the site, you'll be greeted with a stunning display of space pictures that are sure to capture your attention. But that's just the beginning! As you scroll down the website, you'll discover information about the twelve zodiac signs, including intriguing facts about each one. If you're interested in exploring more about a particular zodiac sign, simply click on the provided link, and you'll be directed to a page with even more details. That's not all! The website also features astronomical events that will occur soon, with the option to add them to your calendar for easy access. If you're interested in learning more about these events, click on the "Learn More" button, and you'll be directed to a site with all the necessary details. The website also includes interactive features like finding your zodiac sign by inputting your birth month and date and identifying a constellation that suits your personality through a quick survey. And if you have any questions about space or astronomy, don't worry - my website has got you covered! Simply type in your query, and the website will take you straight to Google, so you can find the answers you need. Finally, everything on the website is designed to be easy to use and navigate, so you can enjoy all of its features without any complications. So, what are you waiting for? 🛠 How we built it
I built the site with the use of three programming languages: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. (A majority of the site is using HTML and CSS, with little use of JS).
🙀 Challenges we ran into
A challenge that I ran into was with the "popular types" section. At one point, the curtain would not fall down when you hovered over it and the images were distorted. That part alone took more than an hour to complete!
🎉 Accomplishments that we're proud of
What I am proud of is the search bar. This way the user will receive accurate information on any questions that may have beyond what my site will provide them. Another thing I am proud of is the feature where the user is able to find out their own zodiac sign with certain information.
📚 What we learned
I learned that it is important to be patient when building a website and experimenting with different animations. There were times that I almost gave up because a certain feature did not work, but with enough determination, I pushed through it and identified the errors.
☄️⭐️ What's next for Stellar Odyssey
This website has thought me a lot about programming languages and challenged. Keeping this in mind, I hope to accomplish more in the future and increase my understanding of computer science. Even after this competition, I will try to find more ways to improve this project and make it more professionalized. Thank you for this opportunity!
