Inspiration
My inspiration for this project was that many people struggle with talking to others about the things that are going on in their lives.
What it does
Gives resources to seek help and allows people to do a daily check-in, following trends where they can see how things have been for them up to the past 30 days.
How we built it
Using TypeScript and Javascript, along with Expo, an easy-to-use application aiding in web development, we were able to code up the application with all design choices that we wanted with easy access to configuration settings how we see fit.
Challenges we ran into
Creating the storage to contain the responses to the daily check-in was difficult to integrate with the overall application as a whole, as there were many different libraries that were being used together to achieve the purposes that we needed.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Creating this project solo was great for my personal learning, how I block out time to progress on projects, and how to create a good plan that will lead me to success.
What we learned
As mentioned earlier, I learned how to make a good plan to go step-by-step where I created each panel one at a time where I didn't fret about creating so much at one time.
What's next for Steady - Mental Health Check-In
I didn't really do anything too complicated in this project, and I am not sure where AI would have a good fit in such a basic endeavor, but I believe it could be integrated to giving advice to improve a person's wellbeing. Integration should be easy for this project, there just might not be a huge necessity for it in this iteration of the project.
