Inspiration

Our project was inspired by the need to help people find clear and reliable health information.

By 2050, the number of people aged 60 and older is expected to reach 2 billion, and about 80% of seniors have chronic health conditions. Many older adults have trouble understanding health information, with nearly 9 out of 10 facing difficulties. Studies show that better understanding of health leads to better health outcomes. Since 73% of seniors use the internet to look for health information, our goal is to provide simple and easy-to-understand resources that help them make informed choices and improve their quality of life. One stop solution for your health care needs

What it does

The website offers clear health information for everyone. It helps them understand common health conditions and make better health choices. By simplifying medical terms, it improves understanding, especially for those who struggle with reading or technology. All they have to do is select a disease from the drop down menu and they have all the information they need about the medical condition. We also have a chatbot for additional inquiries. The goal is to empower seniors to manage their health and improve their quality of life.

How we built it

The application is built using Java Script, HTML, and CSS

Visual Studio Code as IDE GitHub for source code repo WIX for web page design Integrated google maps API Chatbot

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very proud of the fact that we implemented a working solution. We worked together as a team and collaborated well, everyone contributed We were able to develop what we envisioned Training the Chatbot model on the diseases

What we learned

We learned about the different diseases and statistics from the databases we made and accessed. As well as improving our critical thinking in integrating our ideas into code.

What's next for StayFit

We will invest into making this more accessible, and add more features such as a symptom checker and more.
