Inspiration :

The biggest inspiration to me was creating something new and especially with the Instagram Reel which is trending currently.

What it does

As covid cases are increasing day by day and people love to take the selfies and make the reels, this Filter helps people to remember that they have to wear mask and keep the social distance as COVID-19 is everywhere.

When you start the filter and if you are on the selfie mode it will show Mask on your face and a banner above your head indicating you that Be safe wear Mask and COVID virus around you.

And when you switch to the world it will display you that the virus is all around and you will see in the world that it show you indications that you have to wear the mask, stay home stay safe, what is the current date and day and multiple things which will always indicate that you have to stay safe.

How I built it

The software I used to build was Spark AR and Photoshop.

I was just looking in the news that the COVID-19 cases are increasing day by day all over the world and there is no cure people are just suffering, that because either people forget to wear a mask or do not maintain social distance.

At the same time, I also found many people are just roaming around making videos and enjoying the new feature of Instagram which is Reels.

So I got an Idea why not make something which reminds people while taking selfies also and while looking into the real world also that COVID Virus is everywhere and they have to wear mask and maintain social distance.

So I created this filter.

Challenges I ran into

There was one challenge about the language in the real world that to wear mask, as there are many countries where people do not understand English. So I thought why not insert the image of the mask on face in the Selfie mode and Image of Mask on the real-world mode also so that people can come to know that it is giving them a notification that they have to wear masks. The mask is the most important thing which can help to stop COVID-19 and save someone life.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

It helps people to remember people that they have to wear mask and Maintain social Distance.

What I learned

A lot of things were there to learn especially In the world AR the placement and using the Particles effects.

What's next for STAY SAFE World AR

Next, I am planing if we can just insert the graph that indicates what is the real-time situation of the area, the country that how many COVID cases are found it will make them more attract and well informed about the current situation.
