Inspiration
In october 2023 (a year ago) I just find out about James Scholz who really inspired me to work harder and get dopamine detox. I started becoming digital minimalist- sold my iphone 12, got dumb phone, stopped scrolling social media, sleep 8 hours per day and read books. Ofc after 3 days I returned normal phone, I got my sister's old one- 11th iphone because it was really hard to pay everywhere and navigate, but I still was without the social medias. After a while I realized that I stopped chatting with my old good friends who were in states(i am from Central Asia) and got really sad about it. Out chats were mostly started by replying to stories or sending memes, but without the instagram- main communication platform for us, I just had less reasons to write them. Soon I will graduate my school and i'm afraid of losing all of my friends for the same reason.
What it does
Everyday it views stories of my friends, analyzes with AI and gets the most interesting ones and sends them to me with mini video from stories.
How we built it
I made a micro service where there are orchestrator that operates whole logic and agent, that gets stories and analyzes them. So everyday orchestrator gets service's users and people they would like to follow and sends each one to available agent. Agent watches their stories, analyzes with ChatGPT 4o for images and Gemini Pro Vision for videos and returns to orchestrator. It also has a memory for past 7 days for each instagram username based on their previous stories. Then it makes a video from this stories.At the end orhectrator gets all summarizes&video from agents and sends them to users to email inbox or telegram. VIDEO IS AVAILABLE ONLY VIA TELEGRAM.
Challenges we ran into
It's really hard to get information from instagram, it bans my agents every time because of suspicious activity. Yeah and I made a micro service because monolitic was unstable- if instagram would ban by ip whole service would be unavailable, but now only one agent that can be replaces with anothers. Also in first idea I was thinking about writing YOUR instagram username and our service will import all your followings, but it's hard to do too, because of the same problem- instagram bans. And now I use instagram search, that is working not everytime and sometimes you need to reload the website if it stuck.

What we learned
I could say that I learned to work in team, use kafa and etc and lie to you) All I learned from it that there is no unsolvable problem and even this one- firstly I was thinking it is super easy, but then when I was started parsing the instagram I was really f***** up..... Yeah but at the end it was not so horrible(it was) and that now I really into automated web agents. Hmmm, what will be my next problem to solve?
What's next for Stories Summarizes
