Inspiration

Managing personal finances can be overwhelming, and many people struggle to make sense of their spending habits from dense bank statements. We wanted to create an easy, accessible way for anyone to understand where their money goes and get actionable advice - empowering them to make smarter financial choices without the need for a financial advisor.

What it does

StatementWise allows users to securely upload their bank statements and receive personalized insights and suggestions from an AI model.

How we built it

StatementWise was built with Streamlit to quickly develop an interactive and responsive web application, enabling users to get instant feedback on their spending habits.

Challenges we ran into

Setting up Streamlit took more time than expected, mainly due to poor and outdated tutorials, which slowed our initial development.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud that the StatementWise website is fully functional and successfully deployed.

What we learned

We learned a lot about using Streamlit, including its features and best practices for building interactive web applications.

What's next for StatementWise

We plan to expand StatementWise with advanced insights, such as monthly spending projections and personalized saving goals
