Inspiration - Buying Insurances can be Tricky, we want to make it easy for StateFarm customers to understand what each insurance policy means and give an easy to digest method for seeing their options.
What it does -
We want to have a go to place for our customers to understand the Products. Website - Mobile Friendly website that customers can browse, Learn and Get Quote from the site for all the Insurances 1st Android App - Scalable App, easily view and browse contents of different Insurance and enquire about the plans. 2nd Android App - Scalable App, easily add content to the app by any admin
How we built it - Android App using - Java and Website by WIX.com
Challenges we ran into -
as usual we ran into number of challenges to figure out how we can make application Scalable as well as Informative and to add it along with some Innovation. None of us have used a web app builder like Velo by Wix. Due to this, there were some challenges getting used to the tool, and lots of trial and error customizing various elements on the page. One big challenge was that you can get a website structure tossed up relatively quickly with Velo, but if you want to do further customization, you are limited in what you can accomplish in that you cannot customize elements on Velo's pages with CSS. We wanted to do a hover-text feature to give basic definitions for key-terms, but could not accomplish this. Therefore, we had to explore other options that could accomplish a similar task, settling for a drop-down bar and link to StateFarm's site for each insurance category. Additionally, the structure of the pages is key. We built our insurances tab so that it was all in one container, but this gave us difficulties later getting page redirects to go to specific sections we wanted since they were all part of the same section. This forced us to try and use anchors, but this tool does not seem to be working properly, as the page redirects much lower than where the anchor lies.

What's next for State Farm Made Easy -
The app is made Configurable, further plan to make a full fledged application with more Information about all the products and add different plans within each Categories.
