Inspiration

The inspiration for our team was the fact that we all like games and we wanted to make delivery of information about StateFarm’s various unrecognized services available to the public through an interactive interface!

What it does

The purpose of the mobile application our team designed is to inform consumers about some of the lesser known types of insurance services StateFarm offers. The app has an interactive format which gathers users to use their keyboard to move across and learn more about the previously stated services!

How we built it

In order for the final product to come along our team had to put together many different pieces through the use of various programming/ design languages and apps such as the following: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Procreate, Visual Studio Code. The concept design took little time, but the application of the concept was rather challenging.

Challenges we ran into

In the process of designing we had many challenges, one (probably the most important one) was learning to utilize a completely new programming language. Another challenging aspect was the rendering of the background animations in order to keep the interactivity going.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to successfully program our background to move along with our character, link our application to another domain, and hand draw every graphic and background by using Procreate.

What we learned

During this event, we were able to learn JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and even implement interactive buttons in a short period of time.

What's next for State Advise

We hope to implement more animations, interactive links, and sounds to keep our audience more engaged.
