Inspiration

I first saw the idea as something an influencer might need: a place to keep captions, photos, links, and other content ready to use. Then I realized I wanted it for myself. I often need a piece of text or a photo I’ve used before, but finding it means searching through chats, notes, or folders. I wanted one place where I could keep those materials close at hand.

What I built

Stash is an iPhone app for saving and reusing text, links, images, and files. You can easily search and filter your Library, organize items into Collections, and quickly copy or share what you find. The app also lets you generate content with AI and save it alongside your other materials.

How I built it

I built Stash as a native iOS app with SwiftUI and Xcode. I worked through the core flow of adding an item, finding it again, and using it. I also tested the app on an iPhone and prepared a TestFlight build.

Challenges and what I learned

The main challenge was keeping the app simple while supporting several kinds of content. I had to decide how text, images, links, and files should fit into one library and remain easy to find.

Next step in roadmap

Add cloudkit support

That helped me see the product more clearly: saving something is only the beginning. Stash is useful when I can find that item later and put it to use in a few taps. I learned to focus the first version on that everyday flow, with AI generation as another way to create something worth keeping.
