My family always seems to forget where we placed our Scattergories game. Now we'll be able to play as long as someone has an iOS device nearby.
What it does
It randonly generates a letter, has a timer, and randomly displays catergories from an array of prestored strings.
How I built it
I built it using a single view application in Xcode with Swift.
Challenges I ran into
I do not have much experience with Swift or UI so I spent the majority of the hackathon modifying an app that was shared during one of the iOS workshops.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I am super proud that I have been able to look at other swift code and be able to understand it and modify it.
What I learned
I learned so much about UI and using storyboard in Xcode.
What's next for StartSwith
I will actually finish creating the app. I only just started about 2 hours ago with this specific project. Hoping to first have a basic app where users would all be looking at the same screen to get the game information. Later I will make the app more interactive so that users will be able to join games and look at their own phone screens for the game info. I will also add a feature so users will be able to type their answers in and then the app will automatically be able to compare each player's list and remove those entires that another player also submitted.
