Inspiration
I like startrail photography but find it takes too long time to take. While the changing elements in the image take very small portion.
What it does
The program requires a foreground image then generates customized startails on the background sky.
How I built it
I wrote the program in Mathematica and use iOS device to upload image and pull back products.
Challenges I ran into
Server availability. Network connection stability.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
The graphical function side works great and the product images looks like real startrail photos.
What I learned
Communication between server and client.
What's next for startrail photography simulator
Extract real stars' position using computer vision algorithms. Predict the realistic trajectories by their moving trends.
