Inspiration

The startup ecosystem is booming across Asia, yet there’s no single visual platform that connects innovation with its economic impact. We wanted to bridge this gap — to make startup data interactive, insightful, and story-driven. As tech students, we’re inspired by how startups transform industries and economies — and we built Startonomics to visualize that growth.

What it does

Startonomics is a dynamic web platform that:
Showcases startups from across Asia through engaging visuals.
Displays funding trends, milestones, and impact metrics interactively.
Helps users understand how innovation drives economic progress.
Offers a country-wise startup view that can later scale globally.

In short — it’s where data meets storytelling, and startups meet economics.

How we built it

Frontend: React.js + Vite for a fast, modular structure.
Styling: Tailwind CSS for modern responsive UI and Framer Motion for smooth animations.
Data Visualization: Chart.js for funding and growth analytics.
Structure: Modular React components (Home, About, Gallery, StartupStory) with React Router for navigation.
Deployment Ready: Optimized design with clean UI and reusable components for scalability.

Challenges we ran into

Managing multiple startup datasets and aligning them with visuals.
Implementing dynamic chart updates for each startup’s unique data.
Ensuring responsive design consistency across animations.
Time management while balancing college and project development.
