Virtual Visitors

This project gives you the power of virtually travelling the world without having to leave your home. Just pick a city, country famous monument and the software will automatically figure out the points of interest around it and generate a cool "helicopter-like" video for you to enjoy this part of the world.

Implementation

Using sightspoint.com, we can get the points of interest for any given keywords. Then, we create a camera path passing by all these points. Finally, we feed the interpolated coordinates to Google Maps "Earth view" and take a sequence of screenshots to generate a video.
