Inspiration
Stargazing and astrophotography are challenging due to the Earth's rotation, making it difficult to capture clear images of or even view celestial objects. We were inspired to solve this issue and make astrophotography accessible for everyone, regardless of experience level.
What it does
StarSense is a smart, automated star-tracking device that locks onto any selected celestial object and tracks it accurately, allowing for long-exposure photography with ease. Simply attach your smartphone and capture stunning images without manual adjustments.
How we'll build it
We will design the system with a precise motorized mount controlled by software algorithms. Using a smartphone camera and sensors for positioning, StarSense identifies and tracks the chosen object, compensating for the Earth's rotation in real time.
