Inspiration
The inspiration for my game was the classic "happy" dream that a kid has; unicorns, grass, sun, fluffy clouds, and falling stars.
How it works
The game is simple; slide the cloud left and right to catch the stars as they fall and earn points. But avoid the lightning bolts, because they cause a player to lose a life. Also, make sure that your cloud doesn't go off the edge of the screen.
Challenges I ran into
It was hard to make the lightning bolts in my game so that when caught, the player loses a life. Creating the sprites and controlling them was also a very hard challenge.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
This is my first time coding, and the first game I ever created. I am proud that I managed to put more than one sprite, and that I could (mostly) make them do what I wanted them to do.
What I learned
I learned how to put specific codes for actions that I wanted the sprites to do.
What's next for Starcatcher
I will probably continue working on making the sprites better, and trying to put boundaries on where certain sprites can go.
