We wanted to learn how to build a Chrome extension during MHacks-V...so, we did. The functionality is relatively simple -- a countdown timer with a semi-random string generator -- but the steps it took to get there were difficult for a couple of extension first-timers. The extension targets fans of the Star Wars series and equips them with (1) a countdown timer to the release date of Star Wars VII, (2) several random Star Wars facts, and (3) a direct link to the Star Wars VII trailer.
