Inspiration

We took inspiration from District 13 from The Hunger Games, which has very scarce resources, and takes a similar approach to planning food. Our meals were inspired by recent ventures to the Philippines and America which introduced one of our members to the wide scope of cuisines out there in our world.

What it does

This program alows you to enter your specialized role on a spaceship and get a meal-prep according to the specification of your job and how physically demanding it is. Since diferent roles have different physical demands and it is more efficient to distribute them according to their needs

How we built it

We used a combination of Javascript, HTML, CSS paired with a js script that reads and writes from a Google Sheets database.

Challenges we ran into

Disagreements on final products. Database delay.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Learning how to debug errors using the inspect element in the console on chrome. Using a simple algorithm to automate the food allocation for an entire population, to save time, effort and cut down on errors.

What we learned

Advantages of communicating ideas before getting to work. How to access, change and store information on a remote database, to the advantage of our storage feature.

What's next for Star-Fuel

Accounting for other nutrients like protein and vitamins to make a more complete meal. More personalized meal prep accounting for physique as well. Adding more secure database Adding more meals
