Inspiration
The project was inspired by modern graph visualizations and the idea of exploring information spatially in dialogue with a RAG-based chatbot.
What it does
It turns structured content into an interactive 3D knowledge space, navigable through WebXR and enriched by real-time semantic retrieval.
How we built it
Built with plain JavaScript and the WebXR API, under 150 KB of custom code. A particle renderer visualizes semantic relations, while a microservice processes Drupal content using vector embeddings and streaming RAG pipelines.
Challenges we ran into
Achieving mobile performance under high particle load, refining Genkit flows for low latency, and balancing cost with real-time model performance.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Delivering a fully standalone WebXR prototype optimized for Meta Quest with minimal code size and live semantic updates.
What we learned
How spatial visualization, semantic computing, and adaptive audio complement each other—and how to optimize RAG pipelines for XR interaction.
What's next for Standard.Deviation Graph
Expanding into interactive brand experiences where organizations can explore, present, and evolve their knowledge as immersive 3D environments.
