Difficulties in standing from a seated position can be attributed to knee joint problems, muscle weakness, or cerebellar problems. There are over 25 medical conditions that can induce difficulty standing in patients. Patients with muscular and knee joint deficiencies need a way to to get up from a seated position in order to improve mobility and decrease patient dependence. Our solution is a seat cushion utilizing an electronic motor to angle and elevate patients to enable patients to stand from a seated position.
