Stadtoskop began as an idea more than ten years ago. I imagined a new way for people to discover culture, places, and activities in a city, but I did not have the technical resources to build such a complex system alone.
Until last summer, I was still skeptical that artificial intelligence could support serious product development. After hearing only positive experiences from people around me, I started experimenting with GPT for myself.
That changed everything. About six months ago, I began developing Stadtoskop from zero as a solo developer. AI did not replace or change the original idea, product decisions, testing, or responsibility. But the collaboration with GPT and Codex made it possible for one person to build a mobile app, backend, database, administration system, automated research workflows, and custom agents that previously would have required a much larger team.
