Inspiration

The FIFA World Cup is one of the biggest sporting events in the world, but fans often need to switch between multiple platforms for match schedules, team information, stadium details, and travel planning. We wanted to create a single, intelligent platform that enhances the fan experience by bringing everything together in one place.

What it does

StadiumGenie is a smart companion for football fans following the FIFA World Cup 2026. It allows users to:

• Explore participating teams and player information.
• View match schedules, fixtures, and tournament details.
• Discover stadiums and host cities.
• Access match insights and statistics.
• Receive AI-powered recommendations and information.
• Enjoy a fast, responsive, and user-friendly experience across devices.

How we built it

We developed StadiumGenie using React for the frontend and deployed it on Vercel. The application features a modern responsive interface, efficient component-based architecture, API integration for football data, and AI-powered features to provide useful insights and recommendations for fans.

Challenges we ran into

• Finding and integrating reliable football data sources.
• Keeping the interface responsive while displaying large amounts of information.
• Designing an intuitive user experience for different types of users.
• Optimizing application performance and deployment.
• Ensuring AI-generated insights remained relevant and useful.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• Built a complete football companion platform from scratch.
• Designed a clean and engaging UI for sports fans.
• Successfully integrated live football data and AI-powered features.
• Deployed the application on Vercel with a smooth user experience.
• Created a scalable architecture for future tournament updates.

What we learned

This project strengthened our skills in React development, API integration, responsive UI design, deployment workflows, and incorporating AI into sports applications. We also learned how to organize sports data effectively to create an engaging user experience.
