Sometimes you’re stuck in situations that are uncomfortable and could escalate to worse. That’s where Stacy comes in. We built Stacy for all the women, children, and men of the world. Stacy is the first safety voice agent. Safety is the number one priority, which is why Stacy takes your concerns seriously and walks you through stressful situations (pun intended).

What does Stacy do?

Live location tracking Incident case building (usable for reports later) Emergency escalation: notify contacts, warm handoff to police Navigation to safe spots like the nearest police department The goal is simple: keep you calm, keep you safe, and keep you moving toward help.

How We Built It

We went in as a duo team, completely new to AI agents. We didn’t just “build a project,” we went on a full-on emotional rollercoaster. We had to figure out what the heck MCP even was. We fought with the VAPI SDK and got crushed by Twilio. Both tools are powerful and ones we’d use again, but man, they left scars. Through trial, error, and sleep deprivation, we got Stacy running on a multi-modal, multi-agent architecture: a voice agent that can call tools, handle context, and be a real safety companion.

It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows.

Debugging VAPI was like playing chess against ourselves at 4 a.m. Twilio webhooks almost broke us. Balancing browser APIs with OpenAI calls felt like duct-taping two cars together and hoping they drive straight. But the hardest challenge? Time. The final multi-agent breakthrough happened at 7 a.m., right before the deadline.

What We Learned

How to wrangle APIs we’d never touched before. The difference between a “cool demo” and a life-critical agent that can’t afford to fail. That building something meaningful means embracing chaos, frustration, and way too much caffeine.

Why We’re Proud

We didn’t just code an app. We created a voice agent that can actually help people when it matters most. Stacy stays calm when you can’t. We’re proud of the fact that, as a small team with no prior agent experience, we pushed through all the blockers to deliver something that could genuinely save lives.
