Inspiration
My inspiration came from a problem I had recently. During the holiday, I worked on many tasks, and when I went back to school, I felt confused about my lessons and my grades dropped.
What it does
The app finds which assignment you should do first, based on three factors: the assignment's deadline, its difficulty, and how long it takes to complete. The deadline is the most influential factor, followed by difficulty, and then the time needed. The weights are: deadline = 50%, difficulty = 30%, and time needed = 20%.
How I built it
I wrote the backend code myself, then asked ChatGPT to help me find the parts that would cause errors. I repeated this until no part of the code had errors. For the UI, UX, and frontend, I asked Claude to help me build them.
Challenges we ran into
The first challenge was that I only knew how to write backend code, so I couldn't write the UI, UX, and frontend. The second challenge was that I wanted to make the project accessible through a link, but hosting costs money, so I used free Hostinger hosting.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I built my own web app that can be accessed through a link, so other people can see my project.
What we learned
I learned how to build a good app and how the logic of a good app's code works.
What's next for Stackup
I'm not sure yet what's next for Stackup. It was a sudden idea, but maybe I will add more features later.
