Inspiration

I was inspired to build this project due to the lack of popularity of blockchain and NFTs in my region. I realized the potential to create an NFT marketplace to engage the African NFT community and offer them a platform to showcase their work. This project presents a great opportunity for me to pioneer the use of the Stacks blockchain in my region, with Nigeria and other parts of Africa being potential markets for the platform. By introducing this project, I hope to not only create economic opportunities for artists and creators but also to promote the adoption of blockchain technology in my region.

What it does

Stacksnation is an NFT marketplace that enables users to list, purchase, unlist, transfer, and modify the price of their NFTs.

How i built it

Stacksnation NFT marketplace was developed using Clarity, which is a smart contract language for the Stacks blockchain.

By creating this NFT marketplace, we are excited about the potential to expand the reach of Stacks into new territories.

What's next for Stacksnation

There are many exciting plans in the works for Stacksnation! One of our main priorities is to continue building and expanding our community of creators and collectors in Africa and beyond. We will be hosting more hackathons and events to support and onboard new creators, and providing resources and education to help them bring their NFT projects to life.

We also plan to accelerate and promote stacks-based NFT projects to increase their visibility and adoption within the Stacks ecosystem. This includes supporting projects with grants and other resources, as well as building partnerships with other projects and communities in the space.

In addition, we will be launching new features and tools on our platform to make it even easier for creators and collectors to interact and transact with each other.

Overall, we are dedicated to being at the forefront of innovation in the NFT and blockchain space, and we will continue to push the boundaries of what is possible with Stacks and Bitcoin NFTs.
