Inspiration

We wanted to create a way for people to learn stocks in a completely stress-free environment. Investing can feel overwhelming or risky for beginners, so we aimed to build something that makes learning approachable, safe, and actually enjoyable.

What it does

Stackr is an all-in-one stock learning and investing platform. It features an AI-powered agent for guidance, a trading simulator for risk-free practice, financial planning tools, smart money tracking, risk analysis hubs, and real-time stock graphs and analytics.

How we built it

We built Stackr almost entirely using generative AI tools, including Base44, ChatGPT, and Claude. These tools helped us rapidly prototype, generate code, design features, and iterate quickly without needing a large development team.

Challenges we ran into

One of our biggest challenges was working around limitations from free tiers and avoiding paid plans. This meant getting creative with how we structured requests, optimized usage, and balanced performance with resource constraints.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud that we were able to build a fully functional, feature-rich platform using mostly AI tools. Bringing together multiple complex features—like an AI agent, simulator, and analytics—into one cohesive app was a huge win for us.

What we learned

We learned just how powerful generative AI can be, not only for speeding up development but also for learning new concepts on the fly. It showed us that small teams can build big ideas with the right tools.
