Event and Workshop Management Platform with MERN Stack

Inspiration

As members of the Seneca Software Development Club (SSDC), we recognized the need for a centralized platform to streamline event and workshop management. Inspired by the goal of enhancing community engagement and accessibility, we set out to create a solution that caters to the diverse interests of our club members.

What it does

Our platform serves as a comprehensive management tool for SSDC events and workshops. Key features include:

  • Sleek Interactive UI: A visually appealing interface for seamless navigation.
  • Events Page: Admins can add and manage upcoming events, keeping the community informed.
  • Workshops Page: Categorized workshops for easy access, with options like Development, Design, AI, and more.

How we built it

Built with the powerful MERN stack:

  • MongoDB: Flexible database for storing event and workshop data.
  • Express.js & Node.js: Backend framework for handling server-side logic and API integrations.
  • React: Frontend library for building dynamic and responsive user interfaces.

Challenges we ran into
