Inspiration
-> This project has been built based in a famous Spanish proverb: "O todos ganamos, o la puta al río" (Or we all win, or the whore to the river).
What it does
-> It draws a cross with its 8 workers in the middle of the board and around 10 to 30 ticks before stopping the game, it bursts dividing the board into 4 quadrants.
How we built it
-> Depending on the initial position of our team, we have to make the workers reach the middle in a specific order, taking specific positions. As we have already mentioned before, it exploits some ticks before the end of the game to "cut" the other players territory and lower their scores. The whole code is full of conditions to make this happen.
Challenges we ran into
-> The main problem and biggest challenge has been to understand rhai programming language.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
-> We are proud of the result we have got at the end, taking in account that we started this project out of curiosity and as a plan B for our main one. It works, something that is already amazing because we didn't have too much high hopes and if our algorithm isn't stopped by other people, it ends up helping the weak ones lowering the scores.
What we learned
-> We have discovered rhai language and have had fun learning how it works while developing the bot.
What's next for SQLazo
-> If we had enough time, we wanted to upgrade the bot and make it more efficient so we could be a nuisance to the others and also h ave the opportunity to win.
