Inspiration
We wanted to make memories and commemorate and have a laugh at them later when we want to remember.
What it does
Its a short and fun adventure game where you feed hungry hackathon-ers who have been waiting in line for hours with funny surprises!
How we built it
We used Godot and collaborated on making the mechanics, models, and assets and then putting it all together to make a game!
Challenges we ran into
We had to scrap our first project after day 1 cause it was too ambitious so we had only one day to create a game. It was also our first time using Godot and the coding language so we had to spend longer to learn everything from scratch, but we pulled it off and made something we are proud of.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Learning and collaborating with new-found friends and completing a game we're proud of.
What we learned
We learned more about our strengths and weaknesses in knowledge gaps such as learning more about react or Godot were great experiences in trying to make a weakness a strength. While using the strengths we already have such as using API'sor creating assets to help the project along.
What's next for Spur Them Away
More easter eggs and jokes that can be added overtime on other fun events that happened during SpurHacks.
