  Start of a battle, bot shares a link to a random song.

Inspiration

A lot of my friends make music so we do beat battles on discord whenever we can. I made this to automate those battles and make it more easier to host.

What it does

Collect song links from users. When enough people join, the bot starts a battle and randomly chooses one of those links as the sample. Bot will then start counting down and uses must submit a track before the count down finishes. Once the submissions is over, voting begins. Bot displays all submissions and users can vote on who they like best. Finally, when voting is over, bot displays the winner and the battle ends.

How we built it

Used javascript and discord.js to build bot.

Had a few bugs and errors that I was stuck on for a while.

Made my first discord bot and did my first hackathon.
