SPT Unbound

Inspiration

I think for most of us it was seeing just how much the Board's decisions affected us, and what kind of decisions the Board had been making.

What it does

We would like it to facilitate communication between The Board of Ed and students, so that the Board knows the student opinion and can make more educated decisions about what is best for them.

How we built it

We designed and built it using MIT App Inventor.

Challenges we ran into

I think the biggest challenge was getting everything done within the time limit.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I think that as a group, we are most proud of the color palette and logo for the app.

What we learned

We learned more about working as a team, we expanded our knowledge about how computers work and learned about what it takes to design and build a functioning app.

What's next for SPT Unbound

We are expecting to continue development for this app, and to hopefully make it available for use across new Hanover county schools and beyond.
