Inspiration
Sproutly was inspired by the idea that small daily emotions deserve to grow into something beautiful. After seeing a friend use an app to track her focus time, we thought — why not create something that tracks emotions instead, in a way that feels alive and comforting?
What it does
Sproutly is an interactive website where users document their emotions through daily journal check-ins and watch their feelings grow into a magical garden. As users explore different emotional worlds, they collect rare plants, seeds, and animals that become part of their personal sanctuary. When users are feeling sad or overwhelmed, a friendly AI sprout companion gently talks to them, offering encouragement, comforting quotes, and soft reminders that growth takes time. Over time, Sproutly becomes more than just a journal; it becomes a living, breathing memory of every small moment of resilience and joy.
How we built it
We are building the website using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and also integrating AI.
Challenges we ran into
Designing an AI Chatbot that is a companion for the user. The struggle with this is that we want the user to have interactivity with it but for the chatbot to not overwhelm the user
