What it does
Customizable Sprite Whack-A-Mole UI
Inspiration
I wanted to make a game where creators can bring in their own .pngs or sprites and easily create their own version of the game.
What it does
It’s a whack-a-mole style UI game with customizable sprites. Creators can also adjust game settings directly in the properties menu, making it flexible and easy to personalize.
How we built it
I built it using Horizon’s AI to guide the scripting and logic, and Canva to design the background for the UI game.
Challenges we ran into
Some of the challenges included:
- Getting the pictures to properly show up in-game.
- Making sure players clearly know when they’ve made a successful click.
- Adding negative feedback when players click the wrong sprite.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I created a cool-looking UI with optimized .png sizes, making the asset not only fun to play but also visually appealing and performance-friendly.
What we learned
I learned how to:
- Get pictures to properly show up in-game.
- Provide clear feedback for successful clicks and negative effects when pressing the wrong one.
- Use dynamic lists and add strings as properties to make UIs more customizable.
What's next
I plan to expand this into a full mobile world with unlocks, progression, and more features, turning it from a simple UI game into a deeper, replayable experience.
