### **My Contribution: Transitioning SprintGenie to Forge**

For **SprintGenie**, I started by developing an app using **Atlassian Connect** to integrate with Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket. However, to better align with Atlassian’s evolving ecosystem and take advantage of the benefits of **Atlassian Forge**, I transitioned the app from Connect to Forge to improve performance, security, and scalability.

#### **Key Steps Taken:**
1. **Rebuilding Backend with Forge**:
I moved the app's backend from **Atlassian Connect** (which relied on external servers) to **Atlassian Forge** to simplify infrastructure and ensure faster, more secure data processing directly within Atlassian's cloud ecosystem.

2. **Leveraging Forge’s Native Jira and Confluence Integration**:
Forge allowed for deeper integration with **Jira**, **Confluence**, and **Bitbucket** via built-in APIs, making the synchronization of sprint data, task prioritization, and documentation more seamless and efficient.

3. **Enhancing User Experience with Forge UI Components**:
I used **Forge UI** components to create a more polished and interactive front-end experience. The switch to Forge also ensured better compatibility with the Atlassian cloud environment, making the app more responsive and stable for end-users.

4. **Implementing Permissions with Forge Security**:
By adopting **Forge's security model**, I was able to ensure that user data is handled securely, with the app only having access to necessary permissions in Jira and Confluence.

5. **Real-Time Updates and Seamless Synchronization**:
I integrated **Forge’s triggers and events** to allow for real-time updates and better synchronization between **SprintGenie** and Atlassian products. This feature ensures that task status, sprint progress, and resource allocation are always up to date across platforms.
